In the 1960's,
being a mod was about sticking 2 fingers up to the class system by
working class kids who dressed up and being someone, being a face on a
Friday and Saturday night. With the working class paying for the
mistakes of greedy bankers in 2010, once again being a mod has never
been so apt.

SMASHING STEVE
GREEN & GUY THE GUITARIST
Steve 'Townsend' Green surprised the
Wedgwood Rooms by smashing up his Fender Telecaster Guitar on stage at the
end of one of Time Bombs finest shows.
Time
Bomb played to a packed house and gave the audience 'the power hour', 60
minutes of the hardest mod tunes you have heard. Can't explain turned into
Town Called Malice turned into Mirror in the bathroom turned into
Won't Get Fooled Again, and that was just four out of the twenty number
Time Bomb.
Time Bomb came out of the starting gates
at 100 mph and did not slow for the whole period culminating with the
maddest version of My Generation. Massive energy, huge distorted bass solo
and then the destruction of the guitar (pictured left, no this is not
Steve Green but Guy's first go on a guitar since he took up the ukulele
four months ago). When asked why he smashed up his much love guitar, Steve
said 'It kept on going out of tune, so I smashed it up'. Err ok Steve.
We are not anticipating much more
smashing of guitars, how ever Mr Green does have quite a large guitar
collection so watch this space. Gibson Les Paul customs splinter quite
nicely I hear. When we asked Simon if he was going to smash up his
Musicman Sterling Bass, his response was something like this F**** S*****
B***L** **H*** *N* T**T or something...... so that a no then?
Big thank to Orange Street for the
evening at the Wedgwood Rooms, they were great.
Won't
Gett Fooled Again Live DVD
Won't Get Fooled Again is what Time Bomb is
all about. It is powerful, tuneful, and has that classic mod sound from
the 60's. It show off the awesome drumming of Keith 'Moon' Weston and also
demonstrated the band and the show. If you want a Mod Show, you will be
hard pushed to find better.
On my radio
Time bomb have hooked up with Teenage Kicks
Radio and Ace Radio, an all new radio station on the internerd. David
Crane the DJ is playing a whole host of Time Bomb stuff from our back
catalogue of originals and covers. Check them out at
http://www.aceradio.co.uk/
Here's David's bit:I'm originally from
Hampshire but
now based in North Yorkshire.
I was a Mod/Scooterboy
through the 1980's and I have been involved in many different music scenes
over the years, but with a constant alliance to the Scootering scene.
I started presenting
shows on internet stations during the 2nd half of 2008 and I've had shows
aired on several stations online since then. I now present my Teenage
Kicks show (All the best Scootering & Punk sounds) every Tuesday,
Wednesday & Thursday exclusively on Ace Radio. The show features tunes
from 2-Tone, Ska, Mod, Soul, Motown, New-Wave, Punk & Oi!
FROM THE JAM PHOTO's
Alison
Orchard
has worked her magic again at the 'From The Jam' show and come up with a
collection of wonderful photos of the evening. Unfortunately contractual
restrictions means that Alison was only allowed to take pictures of Time-Bomb and none of FTJ
or you lot (however we do have one photo of you lot). Please go to the images on the photo's page, individual band members and
dotted around the website. A huge thank you to Alison who as always has
proven to be a superb photographer. Her website is available by clicking

The FTJ show was especially fun. Time Bomb
came on at 100 mph and gave it all for our allotted 30 minutes. We won a
lot of fans that night and the general consensus was very positive (except
for the bloke who said we weren't as good as the Who... no shit
Sherlock!!!)
From The Jam, they were truly brilliant.
Bruce Foxton showed that he is in fact one of the UK's finest bass players
and combined with Rick on drums they make an awesome rhythm section. Go
and see them next year. Simon and Guy had a quick chat with Bruce after
the gig and he is a top bloke.
Thanks Alison......
Is it; Big Ears, Jesus Christ Superstar and
